See outdoor movies for free in Cuyahoga Falls!

​Cartoons begin just after dusk and the feature show beginning at dark. Flicks on the Falls offers movie-viewing at dusk with special pre-show activities beforehand. They also have a sprayground with in-ground sprinklers for the kids to play in, so wear your swimwear and bring some towels! There’s a concession stand for a nominal fee or you can bring your own drinks and food.

According to Wikipedia, “The potassium benzoate, aspartame, and carbon dioxide gas contained in Diet Coke, in combination with the gelatin and gum arabic ingredients of the Mentos contribute to the formation of the foam.” Here’s some more info to teach your kids the Whys and Hows of the experiment.

Check out this Flower Science Experiment for Kids: Glowing Flowers!

I checked out a link in a homeschool group I was in (and then clicked another link, and another, and another…) and happened upon this super cool and simple experiment to try with kids! You don’t have to homeschool to try this. This would be so much fun at a party or a sleepover, or just for the heck of it!
Thanks to Fun At Home With Kids for sharing such a fun idea! A simple way to make glowing flowers that will blow your kids’ minds! This is a great jumping off point to teach how plants gets their nutrients, photosynthesis, etc…

Amazing Enchiladas With Cream Sauce Recipe

So, I’ve made this before:

and made them again tonight with amazing results. Even my pickiest eater finished his entire plate!  This is huge, considering he refuses to eat most meals!

These can be filled with anything you like: sautéed veggies, ground beef or ground turkey, shredded or diced chicken, or just cheese. Just be sure any meat is precooked.

Ingredients:

Medium flour tortillas (you can also use corn!)
2 c of the filling of your choice
2 c shredded cheddar or cheddarjack cheese (1 cup reserved)
3 Tbsp flour
3 Tbsp butter or margarine
2 c chicken or vegetable broth
1 c sour cream
3-4 Tbsp diced jalapeños (If that’s too spicy for you, substitute diced green chiles. They aren’t spicy at all)

Directions:

-Preheat oven to 350°
-Mix your filling choice and 1 cup cheese together in a bowl. Spin the mixture into tortillas and put them, seam side down, in a 9×13 pan
-In a small pot, melt butter/margarine, then stir in flour and cook together on medium high for about 2 minutes
-Slowly add broth to the butter/flour mix and whisk until it’s smooth. Reduce heat to medium and continue stirring constantly until the sauce gets thick and starts bubbling
-Stir in the sour cream and diced peppers. Keep stirring but don’t boil. That’ll make it gross. You just want to warm it up at this point
-Pour/spoon over the rolled enchiladas and be sure the tortillas are completely covered
-Bake 30 minutes until the cheese just begins to brown

The items are valued at a total of hundreds of dollars, but don’t worry, the insurance is covered by Hatch in case anything is damaged. I was grateful for that when the dainty bracelet had a silk cord that accidentally got snagged when I was tightening it on my arm!
They arrive in individual boxes inside of a large package and are each in a cloth bag inside of their box.

Included was a welcome letter

A description of each item, retail cost, and the 20% off Ambassador cost. There’s also an area to fill in how much you liked or didn’t like each item and why. They’ll use that to help with future shipments.
